Online consultation

  • How to take your photos

  • 1. Front and Top

These angles need to be photographed clearly as they usually represent the areas you want to transplant. On the photos we want to clearly see the temples, the scalp and the hairline.

  • 2. Slightly Back and Side

We need to be able to see the temples from a different angle, but also the donor area that extends the longest of the neck.

  • 3. Rear view and top

We need to see the donor area in the neck, to indicate whether it is even possible to carry out a transplant. Then we also want to see the scalp as it is usually one of the transplanted areas.

If you have questions regarding a hair transplant but have difficulties visiting us at the clinic? Now you have the opportunity to do an online consultation.

PRP treatment for thicker hair

PRP (platelet rich plasma) is a very successful treatment for both men and women who are experiencing hair thinning or hair loss and want to make their hair grow thicker. The treatment, which is also known as the vampire treatment, is very effective and 80% of patients experience very good results.

Hair treatment with PRP

  • Is an effective treatment against hair loss.
  • Encourages stronger hair growth.
  • Makes hair thicker.

How PRP hair treatment works

During a PRP treatment we inject growth factors into your scalp to encourage hair growth. The growth factors are extracted from your own blood via a blood test. Thereafter, we fill several syringes with plasma which contain the maximum amount of growth factors, and inject this into the scalp’s surface. Hair follicles grow 4 – 6 mm in the skin, but the part of the hair follicle that benefits from PRP lies about 3 mm under the skin.

Because the injections are relatively shallow, you won’t be able to feel them. Sometimes the patient may experience a slight tension or stinging – this is from the fluid that is being injected into the skin and the existing tissue must leave room for the PRP drops.

Results from PRP hair treatment

Before the PRP treatment, the hair follicles are stunted – they grow slowly, are thin and risks complete discontinuation of growth.

After one of two PRP injections the hair follicles will have started to grow. The hair follicle has become stronger and can produce stronger hair.

A few months after the first PRP treatment the follicles have regained most of their original growth power. They grow faster and stronger and are often more pigmented compared to when they were small and weak.

Testimonials from clients who have had PRP treatment

How often should you get a PRP treatment?

We usually recommend 3-4 treatments with 1 month in between to activate the natural processes in the body in the best way. Exactly how many treatments that are needed is discussed at a free consultation with the customer’s ideas and wishes in mind.

When can I expect results of a PRP hair treatment?

We recommend doing 3-4 treatments with 4 weeks in between. After that, we do a follow up after an additional 2 to 3 months and by then the new, stronger hair will have had time to grow out.

What activities should I avoid after a completed PRP treatment?

The treatment does not hinder you from carrying out your normal activities directly after a session. We usually recommend not washing your hair for about an hour in order to allow the plasma to settle properly.

When can I wash my hair again?

You can wash your hair immediately after your treatment. We do, however, recommend not washing your hair for about an hour in order to allow for the plasma to settle properly.

Can you use blood from another person?

No, you can’t. Even if the person has the same blood type as you, it still involves large risks such as blood poisoning and other diseases.

Does one PRP treatment last you your whole life?

PRP is not a permanent solution. Losing hair is something most people do, and PRP helps slow it down and stimulate new growth. How efficient it is and how long it lasts varies from person to person since everyone has different conditions to begin with. In order to get a correct assessment of your hair, we recommend scheduling a free consultation.
