It’s not uncommon for transgender patients to come to us for help with their hairline to make it more feminine in shape. Quinn came to us to get a more rounded and feminine shape to her hairline. A hair transplant for a transgender person looks the same as a procedure for anyone else. It is important to us that all our patients feel comfortable and we always take the time to draw out the hairline in peace and quiet before the procedure begins.
Quinn had been thinking about getting a hair transplant to round out her hairline for a while. It felt like a good step to move forward in her transition. After reading up on different hair clinics and the hair transplant process, Quinn contacted a hair clinic.
– I came to Nordic Hair Clinic to round off my hairlineand make it more feminine. I Googled different clinics that perform hair transplants and at first I went to another place, but I didn’t feel that I got such good treatment, so I decided to come to you instead. I read up on hair transplants before I booked my consultation and after my consultationI read up some more,” says Quinn.
Why is a consultation important?
Doing a hair transplant as a transgender
For Quinn, it feels good that the day of the hair transplant has finally arrived. Quinn chose to keep her long hair and saw no problem with shaving the donation area for the procedure.
– I’m looking forward to seeing the new shape and seeing how much of a difference it makes. Hopefully it will make a big difference. I don’t know if it’s harder to do a hair transplant just because I’m a transgender person, but I feel like it will feel better once I’ve done it. At least for me,” says Quinn.
The world of hair transplants is one that outwardly caters very much to cis men on many platforms. We asked Quinn if there was anything that influenced her decision in choosing a clinic.
– It hasn’t affected me that much. It has been more important that you get a good treatment when you have been to the consultation. At Nordic Hair Clinic, I feel like I’ve got it,” says Quinn.
The difference between male and female hairlines
One step closer to feeling like yourself
At Nordic Hair Clinic everyone is welcome, regardless of the type of hair problem. Quinn underwent a procedure of 1,500 grafts to even out the hairline and is still waiting to see the results. It takes about 12 months to see the final result of a hair transplant. 3 PRP treatments are included in the price as post-treatment. This is to help the transplant area to heal after the procedure and so that the hair follicles can enter the growth phase more quickly.
– This is something I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time. I’ve been meaning to get a hair transplant for a while, but I haven’t really gotten the hang of it and actually looked into my options and booked an appointment until now. I have wanted something that changes me, that makes me go further in my transition. So that I can get on with myself and do things that make me feel good and make me happy,” says Quinn.
