after the procedure
When and how should the bandage be removed?
Around lunchtime the day after the procedure, the bandage must be removed. It is important that it does not sit longer than 24 hours, otherwise it can dry to the skin.
Carefully peel off the bandage with clean hands. After you remove the bandage, you can wipe the skin clean with paper if there is some blood left. If the bandage has dried to the skin, there may be blood when you take it off, but it is not dangerous and heals quickly. If you want to wash the area, it’s fine.
You don’t need to put on a new bandage afterwards, just let it air out. The wounds heal quickly in the neck. If it itches or becomes dry, it is perfectly possible to lubricate it with ordinary lotion. You do not need to handle the neck area with care.
