For several years, Lars-Ove had been considering a beard transplant. Eventually, he decided to go ahead with the transplant and contacted us at Nordic Hair Clinic and our clinic in Gothenburg.
In beard transplantation, the principle is the same as in hair transplantation. With the FUE technique, we move hair from the donor area in the neck and implant the hair in the beard where the patient wants more fullness. It takes about 3 to 4 months before the beard starts to grow properly and after about 12 months you can see the maximum result.
Last November, Lars-Ove underwent his long-awaited beard transplant. The procedure itself went well, although he felt he didn’t really have a good grasp of all the steps that would take place in the process. Now he was happy to have carried out the operation, as he had been thinking about it for such a long time.
“I’m glad I’ve done this,” says Lars-Ove, “I’ve been thinking about this for many years.”
